Tim joined the Community Trust in 2025, bringing leadership experience from community-focused organisations across New Zealand, South Africa, and Australia, including as a MP for Christchurch Central (1996-2008). Tim aims to strengthen the trust’s impact through strategic investment, effective giving, and deeper engagement across social, environmental, and cultural initiatives in the region.

Catherine Neill
Community Relations Manager

Catherine joined the Community Trust in 2023 with a background in finance, audit and administration. Catherine manages the funding application process and prepares grant and policy recommendations for the Board. She is also the media and community contact. Catherine enjoys reading, gardening, and walking.
